6:30 pm:  We'll start with Se’udah shlishit (dinner to close Shabbat)

7 pm:   Torah study and discussion led by Rabbi Treu (for adults).  “And the Jews got their enemies in their power” (Esther 9:1) Since October 7, we wonder with new urgency: what does Judaism teach about self-defense, the ethics of warfare, and how to deal with violent neighbors while upholding the sanctity of all life? The last chapters of Megillat Esther raise these questions and will be the springboard for Torah study and discussion led by Rabbi Treu.

8 pm:   The evening concludes with Ma’ariv (the evening service) and chanting of Megillat Esther, to which all are invited.
