The Ethical Life
Judaism has a long history of wrestling with moral questions and responding in a way that considers all sides of an issue. So how do Jewish ethics inform our discussions and decisions about the critical questions of today?
This course includes short video presentations by faculty members from the Jewish Theological Seminary, as well as quick videos featuring people who grapple with ethical challenges in their professional work. Participants will be able to access all course materials online, including videos.
Ethical issues to be discussed include: a) food production, b) fracking, c) mass incarceration, d) modern-day slavery, e) torture and war, f) end-of-life care.
