Monday, September 25

Sanctuary Services:
9:00 am: Shacharit (morning service) begins, followed by the Torah service and Musaf. 
Yizkor (time to remember loved ones) follows Torah reading / prior to Musaf.
We anticipate that the flow of services will lead us to end at approximately 1:00 pm.

3:45 - 4:45 pm: Social Justice Symposium: Unraveling the Path to Reparations
Join us for an enlightening Social Justice Program featuring speakers who will address the pressing issue of reparations for descendants of former slaves in the United States.  Our objective is to present this complex topic from various perspectives, encouraging thoughtful discourse and fostering understanding to move beyond knee-jerk reactions and toward meaningful engagement. 
Speakers: Jean-Pierre Brutus, PhD., Senior Counsel, Economic Justice Program, NJ Institute for Social Justice, and Kelly Harris, PhD., Senior Staff Director, Center for Africana Studies, University of Pennsylvania.

4:45 pm: Minchah (afternoon service including reading of the Book of Jonah).
4:45 pm: Promoting "God Moments": Jewish Qi Gong and Meditation led by Joel Friedman.  Youth Lounge.
6:10 pm: Ne'ilah (Sealing of the Gates closing service). Parents and grandparents: please bring your children to Murnick Hall at 7:10 pm to line up for the light processional at the end of Ne'ilah.
7:30 pm: Final shofar blast / Fast ends.
Youth Services:
10:00am - 1:00 pm: Grade level services and programming for K-6th grade.  This is a drop-off program. 
11:00 am - 12:00 pm: High Holy Day Katan ("small") services with Miss Vivian for ages 0-5.  Parent or caregiver must be present.
Babysitting:
10:00 am to end of sanctuary services (approx. 1:00 pm). Children must be potty-trained.  No registration required.

SUKKOT AND SIMCHAT TORAH
Friday, September 29
5:30pm and 7:00 pm: two seatings for Dinner in the Sukkah (deadline to register:  Tue 9/26 at noon)
6:15 pm: Ma'ariv (evening service)

10:00 am: Hallel followed by Hakafot (dancing with the Torah scrolls).  Parents are invited to join for dancing led by your children until services conclude at approximately

12:00 noon.  A celebratory kiddush lunch will follow for the entire community, as well as dedication and inauguration of our new Lev Shalem siddurim.
We will honor Arthur Schechner as the Chatan Torah and the entire Zeman School as the Chatan Breshit, the honors given for the ending and beginning of the Torah reading cycle.
